Are you a writer?

Come join the Young Writer's Workshop, a monthly gathering at Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing!
The Workshop is a place you can go to share your work, get feedback, and meet great authors to talk about writing. It's a community for 10- to 18-year-olds who love to write!



On Friday, February 11th at 4:30 p.m., the Young Writer's Workshop will be joined by authors Lisa Schroeder (author of I Heart You, You Haunt Me, It's Raining Cupcakes, and other books) and Carolyn Dogby Donahan (author The Big Wish and others) for a discussion on character development.

Got a good book to recommend ? Students in grades 7-8 are invited to discuss, agree, disagree, pan, rave and just chat about books at a new book discussion group. Plenty of snacks will be on hand to fuel the discussion.

Valentine's Pizza Party and Book Swap

Friday, February 11, 1:30-3:00

Give books, get books, and eat pizza at a Valentine’s Day book swap for grades 7-12. Pizza and snacks will be served, video gaming will be set up, and king-size candy bars will be awarded to four lucky door prize winners. Bring books, including graphic novels, that are in good shape. Leftover books may be either returned to the owner or donated to the Library, if desired. Please bring at least one book to swap! This program is presented by the Library Teen Advisory Board.
